You need to install it as a CB Plugin, not a Joomla Plugin.

Components > Community Builder > Plugin Management > Install Plugin

Looks like I'm gonna have to downgrade as the captcha 1.0 doesn't work with CB 1.2.2

I had the exact same problem, the image was not showing and sound file was also not working

mine started working after I changed in

configuration.php

the line

var $session_handler = 'database';

to

var $session_handler = 'none';

everything seems to be working still

by the way, I noticed that my configuration file has my database password in it, and it is not encrypted, is this normal, and can anyone see this or download that file

permissions are 444

Thanks for the post tlak83 but alas changing that line in the config file didn't work for me. Could you please confirm that it is the config file in the root of the site folder that you edited and not some other one. Thanks.

I hope I find a working solution to this soon because so far CBsubs has been a waste of time and money and we have to deal with a constant stream of spanners registering to our site.
