upgrading is causing accounts to become unconfirme

Hi

I'm having trouble with cbsubs in the following circumstances:

I have confirm email turned off in CB config and also in each plan.

If I create a user in the administrator area with my free plan and then attempt to upgrade the user to my advertising account, it causes the user to become unconfirmed. If the user trys to login then they become unenabled and a confirmation email is sent to them but without the confirm link. I've been through every setting that I can think of but it isn't helping.

I'm doing a fair bit of account creation for users and sometimes a user creates an account that I then have to upgrade. It used to work when users had already confirmed their email address but I'm not sure of this exactly - I'm doing more testing now to determine this.

Any ideas?

One other bug while I'm here. If you set a plan to only be available by url for registration then this causes it mess up in the admin area - you can see and select the plan but when you click save it tells you that you don't have a valid selection.

I'm having exactly the same problem, and can't find the solution anywhere - when I upgrade a user in the backend, the 'confirm user' changes to 'no' and try as I might, it won't save a change to 'yes'.

I'm using CB Subs 1.0.3 on Joomla 1.5.14 in Legacy mode.

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Well seeing as nobody bothered to reply, and I am having the same problem (and the only way to get them back to confirmed appears to be manually editing the database - it won't let you set manually to confirmed) and no further assistance has been forthcoming:

1. Exact PHP version. 5.2.11
2. Exact CB version. 1.2.1
3. Exact Joomla version. 1.5.15
4. Detailed description of problem. (screenshots? link?) As per the emails above, www.issba.co.uk you already have login details I believe
5. Any error messages reported with Joomla debug mode on and error reporting set to maximum? Unable to do this due to it being an active site.
6. Any error messages reported with your hosts error log? No
7. Any ACL modification components? (JACL, etc..)No
8. Any SEF components? Artio
9. Move or encrypt configuration.php? No
10. Upgrade from CB version ?? or fresh install? Fresh install
11. Migrated from Joomla version ?? or fresh install? Fresh install

Here's hoping some answers might now be forthcoming?

Thanks for reporting with exact configuration, that will allow us to try to reproduce and fix now. :)

Marked as #1407 for fixing in upcoming CBSubs 1.1.

(The backend problem with "show only by URL" are already flagged for fix as #1405).
