Well, CB is free and somehow this effort needs to be maintained and compensated.

extra add-ons and membership income keep CB free - if you have some proposal for alternative funding, I am all ears.

Well, that version is still free and it still works on older Joomla versions.

Your options at this point:

1. find a free gallery extensions with our without CB integration (there are many)
2. show your appreciation for the Free CB you have been using and become an Advanced member to get this add-on plus many more.
3. make modification to the old version so it works with latest joomla versions (the code is open source and GPL, so you can do this on your own).
4. explore other alternatives
