[SOLVED]CB does not continue after forgot password

Hi,

I have read most of the topics concerning this subject and have not found the answer yet.

My problem is that a user does not receive a email after using the request password option. The moment i click on send username/password it jumps directly to the frontpage, no confirmation or something.

The registration option is working and the user receives the registration emails, so the email settings are working.

My best guess is that there is some rights conflict somewhere or ...?

also when i fill in a wrong email address, i do not get a message, it just jumps to the front page.

(using CB 1.2.3, phpmailer function and php safe mode is off)

Please switch to default Joomla template as your template likely is missing the message tag preventing messages from displaying. An error or success message should always be shown.

Thanks for the reply, but the default template (JA_Purity) did not do it too.

another problem what it could be is that the site is not yet visisible because the htaccess is pointing to a temporary index.html. Could this mess things up?

Yes, the site needs to be configured as a normal site. The redirect is likely preventing the message from displaying.
