[SOLVED] Custom javascript in Edit Profile page

12 years 9 months ago #148877 by bsiu

I am working on a site that allows users to login via facebook. They are then redirected to the Edit Profile page.

Their username will be something like "fb_323453". I would like them to enter their Chilean National ID number, which conforms to a specific pattern. So when the page loads, I would like to check via JS if their username matches the pattern or not. If it does not, I would like to clear it so they can enter it.

Is there a way to do this?

Yes, you'll need a new CB plugin that does what you're needing. You'll need to utilize CB triggers in that plugin in order to hook to the profile edit event. Please see tutorials within my signature concerning further trigger usage.
