Yes, but you have to modify the GJ template files found at the below location.
components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbgroupjive/template/default/

The panes template files are responsible for the header of a category (category_panes.php) or group (group_panes.php). That's where their menu items also are and where you can remove them.
