You are not authorized to view' seems to be the norm for registered members trying to submit content. Checking the Joomla forum, I found a recommendation to mod a line of comprofiler.php, but found it necessary to mod 2 lines in order to make it work:

Only Authors seem to be allowed to submit content, which is logical.

What to do with those already registered? I had to go through the user list and change the status of each.
