login worked fine when installed. Seems now there is a problem thru front end login. I get sent to

junkmail.com.au/http://www.junkmail.com.au/index.php

web address of front page is www.junkmail.com.au/index.php

error reads
The requested URL /http://www.junkmail.com.au/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.junkmail.com.au Port 80

is this a conflict as i have installed a few new modules and components or something else. I'm fairly sure login was ok before but I am new to joomla and ddidn't really realize front end and backend login were different. So I may have been accessing as admin. Also had same problem with the login form module and i think thats the default joomla login.

thanx in advance for any help

and awesome component too!

I'm getting something similar.

I'm building a new site and just installed CB 1.0 stable (downloaded from sourceforge) on Joomla 1.0.8 .

When I access/login to domainname.com it works. But when I try it with www.domainname.com it generates the same 404 error and the URL in the browser bar is:

domainname.com/http://www.domainname.com/

If I turn SEF off in the Joomla Global config it will work either way BUT the browser url line still contains domainname.com/http://www.domainname.com/ .

Really strange.

Any advice?

This looks very much like the problem described here:

forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,69003.0.html

If you are on 1.0.8 of Joomla do the upgrade to 1.0.9 and the double URL problem should disappear.
