Hi !
I installed Joomla 1.0.10 today with a lot of problems:
Old Users can not log in:
thought it was C Builder RC2, installed CB 1.01, replaced component and 2 modules and enable logically CB login.... nothing...
Returned to CB RC2... nothing....
unplublished CB Login and published the login original mod_login.... nothing....
All the permissions in the system are writable....

I myself with my usenarme and password can't log in in the site.....

Help !

I reinstalled CB 1.0.1 upgrading from RC2 with the hope of success... but nothing... this what I did:

"3) Install comprofiler.zip as a component.
NOTE: You will have to uninstall the previous Community Builder version first.
NOTE: Don't uninstall CB plugins (this will keep their parameters)"

Uninstalled RC2 and inmediatly installed comprofiler.zip as a component. About CB plugings I don't know about, but i don't touched anythinG....

"That's why you will need the CB plugin installers."

I didn't did anything because I don't know what... what are the plugin installers ? Perhaps it is failing.....

"4) Install mod_cblogin.zip as a module."

I did it after un installing mod_cbloginRC2 and also: Admin->Components->Community Builder-> Tools >
Synchronize users tool

"5) Install mod_comprofilerModerator.zip as a module"

I did it after uninstalling the former mod_comprofilerModerator.

"6) Enable the cblogin login module (CB Login), and other CB modules"

I enabled cblogin and unpublished mod_login. CB Workflows and CB Online are NOT published.

and finally from the system: Register Globals: ON

WHAT'S WRONG ?
WHY ANYBODY CAN LOG IN ?

Yes, this forum IS on holidays...all the year around...actually even unpaid holidays...as we do all of this for free. :D

You can publish both Joomla and CB login modules same time for tests only. If joomla login works but cb login doesn't, then it's probably a sync problem: fix:

From README.TXT (RTFM also on holidays), step 4 NOTE:

NOTE: Go to Mambo Admin->Components->Community Builder->Tools
And use the synchronize users tool to synchronize your user
database if this happens.

1.0.1 gives you result of synchronization: changes.

Otherwise go to backend in users list, and check that users are: confirmed, approved and not blocked...

Joke apart, thank you for the valuable feed-backs helping us to make the README more clear.

I just want to add that if the joomla login module does not work for your users then the problem is entirely in Joomla and the 1.1.10 upgrade process you used.

What version of joomla did you have before?

Was CB working before?

What do you mean cannot login - what message do you get?

Can you login via the backend panel as SA?

"...and the 1.1.10 upgrade process you used."

My server did it in what i understood the "patched way" after failing to do it with fantastico. Restored and "use the "patched"

What version of joomla did you have before? 1.0.08

Was CB working before?
CR2 Extraordinarily good !

What do you mean cannot login - what message do you get?
No Message:

This is the address where the program stops:
www.eba-stats.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=login

You return to homepage without any message, the central column is in blank, the user menu doesn't appears, the CB Login appears yet instead of the "Hi ....username....".

Can you login via the backend panel as SA?
Yes, without no problems, but not from homepage....

Step 4 NOTE:
Admin->Components->Community Builder->Tools
And use the synchronize users tool to synchronize your user
database if this happens.

1.0.1 gives you result of synchronization: changes.

I did it and this is the message i receive:
"Joomla/Mambo User Table and Joomla Community Builder User Table now in sync!"

Otherwise go to backend in users list, and check that users are: confirmed, approved and not blocked...

No user blocked, all ther users enabled and approved.
At site > User Manager > and at CB > User Management too

I insist about this of my former posts:
"NOTE: Don't uninstall CB plugins (this will keep their parameters)"

I don't know what about this, and pehaps is the problem.....

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! And thanks in advance for your help.... I don't want to renounce to CB.....!
