I am using Joomla 1.0.x and when I try to install CB I am gettin g the following error: 'ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.'
Please let me know what is wrong send me a link where I can download a version with the required xml file. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, getting the same error message.

I also get this message:

Installation file not found:
/home/spindlez/public_html/media/install_469ffdb12678e/CBuilder1_0_2unzip1st/

...but I'm installing it from my hard drive like I've installed all of my other components.

I'm getting the same error as fturner, 'ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.'

I've unpacked the original .zip and tried installing the comprofiler component as per the installation manual via the Installers > Components > Upload and Install option.

I'd be greatful for any help with this.

the solution is in the name of the file..unzip1st there is another zip within it taht can be used for install

Here is the answer. Found it another post. Read below.


'Did you unzip that install file first? That's not the file that you use to install the com. The install file for the com is comprofiler.zip. Then there are the cblogin, mod_comprofilermoderator & mod_comprofileronline mods to install in there as well.'

I also can't install CB 1.0.2 but my error is "the connection was reset".is that my network problem or the CB installer?hope can help me to solve this problem..plzz..thanx..
