Activation - not authorised error

Activation - not authorised error was created by Larryf
I've searched all over here and couldn't find an answer...

When a user clicks on the activation link in their email, the website returns a "not authorised" message. However, the activation does work and the confirmation email sent.

I'm sure it's a write permission, but I can't find WHERE I need to allow public write access. If this is the problem.

Any answers?
Thanks!

Had this problem before, the reason was I had Artio JoomSEF installed but did not install the CB SEF plugin.
