Is there an extension that allows registered users to simply upload files to a directory on the server?

I just want a whole new page with just one field and a 'Browse...' and 'Upload' buttons. After the file is uploaded, I open the site via FTP client and get the file. That's all.

Is there a way to do that?

I'm also interested in a feature like this. My need is to upload a user Curriculum Vitae (PDF file, up to 4/5 mb). I would like then to make it visible on user registered-access profile.

Can anybody point me into the right direction?
