Does anyone know how to add a custom field that allows me to show a number (like hits, but not hits) that I can assign from the backend and be displayed in the Article tab in the user profile?

I though about modifying the plugin content author cbmauthortab but I am not quite sure how to do it.

If anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate it.
