There should be new "gimmicks" very soon now... lots of API coordination was needed between them, but good progress is beeing made.

Paid subs plugin still has a little more work on it to make it release quality. And there are will be some awesome news on it with release announcement. When it's ready.

For profile-management you can also use: www.joomlashake.com - PROMA

Its working OK... but it hacks one core file.
Uninstalls without problems though!

Billing components are availible and can be used NOW:
valanx.org/ - AEC

www.nbill.co.uk/ - nBill

So there are alternatives and if you would have said in december 2008 that this will be out in Sommer 2009 and I would have implemented other software.

Now it is a bit like waiting on the bus-stop for 2 hours and thinking about taking the taxi.
However being affraid that when taking the taxi to see the bus comeing in the rear mirror.
