This thread discusses the release of version 2.0 of the CB Captcha plugin.

Documentation subscribers are kindly requested to post their feedback regarding this bonus package released by the CB Team in appreciation for their kind financial support.

Thanks to Annaleen we have identified another couple of issues that might popup with some installations.

if you do not see the image in the backend (or frontend if the plugin is published) and the sound popup plays no sound and if your error logs show something like: "Premature end of script headers" then try changing the permissions of the plug_cbcaptcha folder and its contents to 755 (this folder is in your components, comprofiler, plugins, user area). if you now can hear the sound but still cannot see the image, then open the captchasecurityimages.php file and remove everything after the ?> at the end of the file.

First investigated issue:
At least 1 user I investigated had 2 CB Captcha tabs in backend. This means that the user did not follow the correct upgrade procedure when upgrading to CB 1.1. PLEASE READ THE README FILE AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS - IT WILL SAME US ALL TIME AND FRUSTRATION.

Solution:
Please check if you have 2 Captcha tabs in the CB Tabs backend. If so delete one (or b.
oth if you can, delete plugin from plugin management and reinstall from scratch)

Installing new CB Captcha 2.0 plugin:

Please delete previous version before installing this one. Before installing make sure the plugin and relevant tabs have been successfully removed.

Is the plugin published?
Can you see the image in the plugin backend?
The backend also tries to render the image and the sound elements for testing.

Please report back and also PM me with your site's URL and backend access so I can take a look.

Please start your own thread in the CB Newbies section (if of course you have CB installed because from this 2 line post its not obvious you do) - also if its a Joomla issue - please post to the Joomla forums.

Do not hijack other threads!
