login using ssl

login using ssl was created by dlawler
hi,

I have seen several posts that seem to be along the same lines of my issue but don't see any clear resolution.

Is there a way to use https on login and then have it revert bag to normal http. I am using a login module and have the settings set to "use https for posting login then same" but after a user logs in all pages are encrypted. Even after the user logs out the pages remain encrypted.

any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Is there a fix for this yet???

I also need SSL https:// for log-in and registration but normal http:// for other pages.

any way around this problem of it sticking in secure mode.

Also when using use "https for posting login then same" the login redirect page does not work, it just loads the home page in secure mode.

I have the same issue, it should be possible for the login form the be submitted via a secure server and return back to the non secure server http:// after login.
Also to add I had to change the mod_cblogin as my secure server is not mydomain.com but https://secure_server/mydomain.com.

Would be good if this could be added to the cb login property.

I have been battling with this problem for months. There is no solution, as far as I know.

The closest I have come to a soution, is to use RSForms!Pro and make up a login Form. That produces the correnct behavior for SSL, but does not, as yet, solve the lost password case etc. I am working on it. If it works, I will post my findings.
