Hi kawika,

When I try your change in the index.php file it won't log me in to my site at all.
[code:1]//JOOMLAHACKS.COM
$message = mosGetParam( $_POST, 'message', 0 );
restorePostMessage($savedVars);

// if ($option == 'login') { //
if ($option == 'login' || ($option == 'com_comprofiler' && $task == 'login')) {

//JOOMLAHACKS.COM
//$mainframe->login();
//require_once ($smf_path.'/SSI.php');
$_SESSION = $_SERVER;
$_SESSION = true;
doMamboSMF(true);[/code:1]

And my form html is the same as your last post.
[code:1]<form action="index.php?option=com_comprofiler&amp;task=login" method="post" id="mod_loginform">[/code:1]

This has been a big issue brought up over and over again on this board and the JoomlaHacks board, and I know you mentioned you had issues with SMF login on the Joomla board (topic Paid Memberships or Subscriptions in Joomla!).

Do you truly have the CB RC2/SMF login working?

Virtuemart 1.0.1
JACLPlus 1.0.4
- CB patch 1.0 RC2 (com_patch_cb1.0rc2_jaclplus.zip)
- DOCMan patch 1.3 RC2 (com_patch_docman1.3rc2.zip)
- Virtuemart patch 1.0.1 (com_patch_virtuemart1.0.1_jaclplus.zip)
JBridge 1.0.1-1 Virtuemart mods (cart and checkout functions)

I'll setup an account on a site so you can see that it works.

If you want to see it work go to:

www.sourceomnimedia.com/

On the left, login with:
u: tester
p: tester

Verify you're logged-in.

In the main menu click Forum.

You should see that it's also logged in there.

For the record, I don't totally know why it's working.

Hi kawika,

I've been messing around with this off and on all day. I've even gone as far as completely uninstalling SMF and the smf tables, and reinstalling everything.

As I mentioned, when I try your fix, I can't log in to my site at all. When I change it back and log in the BRIDGE WORKS! When I log out and try to log back in, it no longer works. Strange.

I've been reading the JoomlaHacks board, and there is new thread after new thread about this issue. Cowboy must be getting very tired of it. I'm suprised he doesn't put a sticky thread re: NO COMMUNITY BUILDER RC2!

On your site the whole thing works flawless. I can even log into the forum and it logs me into the site. Amazing. Cowboy is supposed to be looking at CB RC2, but has mentioned he will get to it when he can as he has been busy.

If you happen to stumble on any reason why your bridge is working PLEASE SHARE. This is almost as big an issue in the Joomla community as the Subscription/Membership issue you have worked on.

Thank you.

Something else I just discovered. If I log directly into the forum, it logs me into the site. If I log out of the forum, it logs me out of the site.

Yes, I have CB as the login module to use in the configuration.

But it won't work from the CB RC2 module.

Question for Beat, Nick, JoomlaJoe and other CB dev's:
Is there any reason that modifiying the new Community Builder Login Module to use the SMF login would cause any problems? The registration would still be handled by CB.

A VERY dirty fix, but it should work.
