How difficult is it to upgrade CB was created by philipdc
I run an early CB installation. www.turbocash.net
Joomla 1.1 and an early CB. I have 80 000 users. I feel trapped in that I dont have the internal resources to make the move to the latest version. What I have si stable but uninspiring. I keep limping from day to day jsut holding onto what I have.
Can anyone tell me what the implications are to move my system onto your latest offerings?

Joomla 1.1 doesn't exist (never did) and early CB is too vague.
Please be detailed and specific if you really want assistance.
Most people will not ask for clarifications like I did.
They will just ignore and not be bothered.
CB 1.4 upgrade text file included in the package has various upgrade scenarios based on different versions of CB (and Joomla).

I have a stabel system - I have to spend 10 minutes a day clearing out spammers, because I haven't worked out how to load a CAPTCHA.
Essentially the problem I have is a lack of Joomla Admin experstise and a low desire to learn it. My web site is stagnating - I am missing out on what seem to be a great deal of new moves that you are making with Joomlapolis, simply because I have a fear that if I upgrade or make changes I am going to lose data. Is this unfounded?

Well you are on a very old Joomla version and should consider upgrading - well in your case it is migrating - soon.
You have lots to consider.
To go to Joomla 1.5, 1.6 or wait for 1.7!
Regarding CB you can upgrade to CB 1.4 (works on all Joomla versions) - there are instructions in the upgrade text file in the CB 1.4 package.
If you feel that the process is too much for you to handle you should get some professional help.

Do you guys do this king of thing? I am on a real mission here. We compete with Quickbooks and Sage. I need to focus on marketing and getting the footholds that we have developed. CB looks really good. My alternative is just to dump out the database and hand it to a professional mailing company and/or migrate the social networking side to Facebook.

We have basic installation services and hourly support services.
However, such migration tasks are really tedious and need lots of time.
You might be able to find someone competent on jomlancers site.
