"All Members" instead of "newest Members"

14 years 3 months ago #118453 by chezpaul
In showgroup.tmpl, how do I change it from a list of the newest members to showing a list of all members of this group?

If it's changing coding which I know it is, could you please guide me in the right direction ?
Thanks

I'm not sure which extension (plugin, module, etc) showgroup.tmpl is in, so I can't address it specifically. I will say that hacking code is not supported, and most issues can be resolved with alternate, supported means.

showgroup.tmpl is the main page that shows the group name, number of members, bulletin and newest members.

I'm not hacking anything. I just want to show the list of members of a group. How could I do that ?

I knew I recognized the filename... couldn't think from where.

It's called hacking any time you change core code for an extension. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to do it either way, but it's usually possible to accomplish something without hacking.

Hacking is bad because, although it might solve a primary goal, usually it affects other processes that will cause problems. It's best to hire someone to do it properly if you aren't sure how yourself. This coming from someone that's still hoping to learn coding herself someday in the near future.
;)

The only problem with hiring someone to do it, is that the plugin may or may not work with upgrades, and since Groupjive is not finalized, it's very possible the whole framework will change before the stable release. So you may need to update your job as the plugin evolves.

So how do you show all the members of a group ?
There's got to be a way.
Without hacking!

Click "Members" in the group menu, otherwise you'll need to hack the code.
