I don't know what Sorcerer is or is not outputting. If even a space is output then the field won't be considered empty and it won't hide. This is a common problem when using Custom HTML fields and there's trailing elements like a paragraph element or something of the sort.

Creating a CB plugin that has its own plugin tab. The usage provided in the example plugin works on CB 1.X as well, but you need to change the XML version so it can install on CB 1.x.
