It is commercial... ($39,99)
As far as I can see it might very well suit the 'need' to 'create' per user subdomains.
but:

ProfileURL requires an SEF extension to be installed first:

sh404SEF
AceSEF
JoomSEF
It also requires either Community Builder or JomSocial to be installed. It will work with any versions of these extensions.

Sorry, believe it or not, i was not aware about the thread i posted in ;-) I guess, reached the topic via Search directly, and did not noticed about the general Joomla topic.

Thats why I did not add any detailed infos. I was sure, that everybody is talking about CB here :-)

so far there is not way to create subdomains for each user profile like wordpress??

Is this still possible guys? It could be really handy for me with the Boys' Brigade site I am seting up so we can go straight to GJ Groups.
