Hello,

I use joomla 1.5.8 and CB 1.2.RC4

After applying the quick bugfix, it solved the problem for IE7 and Firefox.

But in IE6 i still get the message: session expired....etc..

Try clearing cache and cookies in IE6 and then restarting the browser.

I had same issue using RC4 AND the problem for me was caused by sh404SEF, FIXED the issue by going into sh404SEF Configuration/By Component and then setting comprofiler to SKIP. This is what fixed my issue with trying to login and getting the Session expired enable cookies message.:woohoo:

Hello Beat,

My issue is a bit different.

Joomla 1.5.8
CB 1.2 RC4
PHP 4
No value in the live site variable
CB Tools all ring OK

My issue is when people use the search feature located in the members list page they enter a username and get the infamous "Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser...." So basically a user cannot search for users.

I personally don't have the login issue. My login works just fine but that may be due to the fact that I am not using any SEF's at all.

Joomla is a way of life, it's a lifestyle.

Hello,

A little different problem here - registration works fine, but when I try to log in with an incorrect user or password, I get the following message:

Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. Please refresh/reload page before filling-in.

CONFIG:

Joomla 1.5.8
Allow User Registration = No
SEF = Yes

CB 1.2 RC4
Allow User Registration = Yes, independently of global setting
Login field type = Email

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

BTW - Beat rocks!!

I also got this massege Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. when i try to register new user from front end.

My test site is at address:
96.56.40.34:82/riptides/

Intresting thing when i connect directly to live server using:
htpp://localhost:82/riptides
registration from front end works fine.

I also tested in my local network same site on new server. Registration from front end over http://localhost/riptides and from another pc inside network over http://192.168.0.2/joomla3 works fine no session cookies problem.

I use Joomla 1.5.7 and CB 1.2RC3 without SEF(it's disabled).

Does anyone has solution for this problem?
